A Miele 18 inch dishwasher is a reliable and long lasting appliance and retails for around £470 incl. delivery. You might be able to get a free warranty extension up to 5 years via the manufacturer’s website. Check often.

With dimensions of 85 x 45 x 61 cm it is typical for a slimline model and will fit into small spaces and offers still room for 9 place settings.

The washing and drying performance is excellent and there are no watermarks left on cleaned goods. Cycle length of the Normal cycle is 134 min (2h 14 min). The Eco mode you will get outstanding cleaning performance and excellent drying. A downside is the cycle length that takes in this mode 180 min (3 h)

You have got the choice between several programmes:
Pre Wash, Quick Wash, Light Soiling, Energy Save, Sensor Wash and Pots and Pans.
There is no delay timer built into this dishwasher. This model is very quiet during a cycle and is very environment friendly. Water and electricity consumption are already low in normal mode, but even less in the Eco programme.

This Miele 18 inch dishwasher model is very easy and comfortable to use. However, the upper rack can be due to its design fiddly to load. On the back is a compartment hidden behind a panel into which you can effectively hide away spare length of water/waste pipes.

Retailing at around £630 incl. delivery is this a pricier model than the above described G1102SC. Miele is a brand “engineered to last” and brand reliability is excellent.

Cleaning and drying performance is in normal and eco mode outstanding and does not leave any watermarks behind.

The normal cycle takes from start to finish 120 min (2 h) and uses 16.1 L water. If you choose the eco programme you can save compared to the normal cycle around 30% electricity. This programme uses 12.1 L water only and still delivers excellent cleaning results. A downside is the length of 180 min (3 h) of this resource saving cycle.

During washing you probably hardly hear any noise coming from this dishwasher, it is amongst the quietest once from Miele. Although the upper rack is not adjustable, handling and loading are easy and comfortably.

A delay timer lets you adjust the start of a cycle accordingly to your life style and if programmed to run overnight you can save even more electricity by using cheaper night tariffs.
