Hotpoint Super Plus 7820
by Alexander Thom
This is our first dishwasher and is still going strong after 20 years. It seemed pricey at that time in our lives but it has been a tremendous boon. Properly packed, it takes dozens of items. One of the great advantages is the headroom on the lower tray. It was bought in the days of Curry's and we were very pleased with their service though you have to work through a third party for parts eg, a new cutlery container. I think the cutlery container was the one weakness. Two of the eight bases are holed (plastic weave repairs that!) and you have to be careful not to drop cutlery into these. Reading through Dishwasher Scout I realise that there are now improvements on the market. However, our Hotpoint owes us nothing. It is reasonably quiet and completes the major washing cycle (the only one we have used) in around 90 minutes. So by morning, the dishes are clean, cooled and dried. |
