Haier Dishwasher ReviewedThe Haier dishwasher is a Chinese brand. The company was founded in 1984 and is already known globally. Haier manufactures also countertop dishwasher models. Below we review the model WQP6-2, a countertop dishwasher that fits easily under cabinets and into small spaces. The Haier WQP6-2 has got a B energy efficiency rating which is in the class of countertop dishwashers very good. (They are usually C rated for energy and water consumption. Learn more about energy ratings.)
They come in White and with a plastic tub that is fairly durable. You can load up to 6 place settings and there are an upper and a lower rack. The upper one is ideal for cups and glasses; the lower is for plates and flatware. They are fairly quiet during operation, although they have got a hard food disposal unit built in. This unit takes care of hard food remains and sieves them out so they will not re-soil already washed dishes. The 3 basic wash programs include a normal cycle, an intense wash cycle and a rinse cycle.
They wash dishes satisfactory clean and a high temperature option (140 F) or the Sani-rinse option (160 F) will kill germs and bacteria reliably.
Dishes are dried at the end of a cycle. A unique triple filter system catches every floating food particle or hard good: the main filter sieves out food particles,
the second filter holds larger items like teaspoons and finally the very fine filter traps very fine food remains and particles. Consumers report some weaknesses after using them a while, like a faulty detergent dispenser lock, sealing problems and leakages or even
total breakdown of the electronic controls that had to be replaced. |
