Bosch Dishwasher Review

A Bosch dishwasher comprises German engineering with quality and longevity and is quite popular on the European and American market.

Did you know?

Bosch is a German company with a long tradition: founded in 1886 in Stuttgart Robert Bosch (1861- 1942) stated that his aim was to produce products that are superior in every aspect.

His philosophy is being reflected in all products of this globally manufacturing company. The Bosch Group is operating in the areas of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods and power tools and in the field of building technology.

"BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, in which Bosch and Siemens each hold a 50% share, is one of the world's top three companies in the household appliances industry.
In Germany and Western Europe, BSH is the market leader. Its portfolio includes the principal brand names Bosch and Siemens, Gaggenau, Neff, Thermador, Constructa, Viva, and ufesa brands, and further six regional brands.

Bosch household appliances for the North American market are mainly manufactured at its factory near New Bern, NC.
Its competitors include Viking Range, Sub-Zero Refrigerator, Wolf Appliance (a division of Sub-Zero Refrigerator), Dacor, and Miele.
Although Bosch is a German brand, most of the new appliances are not made in Germany, but in Spain or Turkey." (For more interesting details see also wikipedia.org)

With a Bosch dishwasher you get a quality product packed with innovative technologies:
Performance, resource saving and energy efficiency are key features. A Bosch dishwasher offers excellent and reliable washing performance and a good variety of programs and features.

All models shut-off automatically, if the door is opened during the washing operation.
However, a child-lock is not present in all models.

They are very energy efficient and use less water than most other makes.

Noise emission is kept very low, so they are ideal for open-plan kitchens or combined kitchen/living areas.

A low is the lack of a self cleaning filter. The filter needs to be cleaned out manually in a regular interval.
If this is not done from time to time, washing performance will decrease obviously.

Cycle time is between 115 and 135 min. depending on the individual model.

If a soil sensor is built in, water consumption will be adjusted to the grade of soiled goods.
So it should save water, but this is not totally proofed yet in tests under every-day conditions.
A downside of this feature is that a washing cycle can take longer depending on how soiled goods are.

Loading capacity and flexibility are good, adjustable upper racks and tines and flatware slots and silver ware baskets help to store a considerable load easily.

Bosch dishwashers are excellent performers with a low noise emission.
Beside this a Bosch dishwasher operates very energy- and water efficiently.

Price range is between est. $540 - $1550.

Buying a Bosch Dishwasher

Bosch dishwasher seem to have become very popular in Europe and America.

They are reliable and energy-/water- efficient machines with a good load capacity and flexibility.

It is one of the quietest makes during operation at the moment. However, this comes with one slight down side: the lack of a self-cleaning filter and a food disposer.

Apart from this it is a superb dishwasher!
