Beko DWD5410W

We have had a lot of luck with Beko products in the past; our Beko fridge is going strong 7 years on, and our Beko washing machine has run beautifully for about 5 years now with no problems at all. Beko are one of the cheaper brands available in the UK, but in our experience are easily competitive in terms of quality and performance.
Having had less luck with our dishwashers, we decided this year to replace our ridiculously posh but broken 13 month old Kenwood dishwasher with a cheap Beko. The DWD5410W is a fullsize, standalone dishwasher which looks smart and functionable, if unremarkable. It is spacious inside, with a good layout. Wine glasses are a bit difficult to get in, and I often have to just wash them by hand, but this is a problem I have always found with dishwashers, so it doesn't bother me.
We bought the Beko from Comet, usually my least favourite electrical retailer, as I dislike their pressure selling: as soon as you walk into the store, the sales people descend on you like vultures, which I find really off-putting. However, we went in knowing the model we wanted, and set what we felt was a reasonable price to pay for it, determined to walk away if they wouldn't offer us the discount we wanted. The dishwasher cost £230 and we wanted a 5 year warranty with it (protection against our run of bad dishwasher luck), which usually costs about £100. We bargained hard and got the whole package for well under our hoped-for price, paying £270 all in.
The Beko cleans very well, is AAA rated, has a good choice of settings, including an intensive one which cleans perfectly every time, and an eco one which is very efficient. It's controls are clear and easy to use, and the build quality is good.
Overall, I would highly recommend Beko dishwashers and although they may not be a prestigious brand, I am very impressed with their performance, quality, and reliability. They do exactly what they are meant to, in an understated and efficient way. I have no idea if we'll need the 5 year warranty, but it gives real peace of mind if we do. If you're on a budget, you won't be able to do better than a Beko in my experience.
